The Spine Film
This new film tells the story of the first decade of Britain’s toughest ultra running event, the 268-mile Montane Spine Race along the entire length of the Pennine Way.
10 Year's of Britain's Most Brutal Race
Dreamed up by two polar explorers looking to create a race in the UK with the feel of the cold weather expeditions they loved, the Spine has grown from barely a dozen runners in it’s first year, to hosting over 500 athletes competing in 2 editions every year.
SPINE tells the story of the race from it’s inception to the present day through interviews with it’s founders, long-standing crew members, and through the experiences of athletes who have braved the challenge such as Course Record holder Jasmin Paris, multiple winner Eoin Keith, plus Damian Hall, Eugenie Rosello Sole, Pavel Paloncy and more.
Film Tour
After a sell-out premiere at Kendal Mountain Festival, there are plans to take the film on tour. Come along and you’ll be able to meet some of the athletes and the Spine team involved over the past 10 years. Dates that have been confirmed so far are as follows:
